General Rules
  1. Drivers must be 18 years old.  Minimum age of 16 is allowed with notarized form attained at the fair office.
  2. A drivers seat belt, safety helmet, gloves, long sleeved shirt, long pants are required during any event.
  3. All power hits on the Drivers door are illegal and are grounds for disqualification.
  4. 2 wheels out of the arena boundary will be disqualified.
  5. Contact with another car must be made in 1 minute or you will be disqualified from the heat.  If stalled you have 1 minute to get your car started and 1 minute to make a hit (total of 2 minutes time).  Hits must be aggressive.  This may change depending on the venue of the derby and will be left up to the judge running that particular derby.
  6. No hitting cars with their flags out.
  7. All drivers must sign a release of liability and drive at their own risk.
  8. No cars are to be driven around the pit area except going to or from a heat.
  9. Only drivers of the car, judges, and the fire department are allowed in the arena.
  10. The last car to move under its own power or the last car initiating the last hit (per judge's decision) is considered the winner.
  11. At any time a driver may raise his or her own flag.  Once the flag is raised the car may not resume competition.
  12. Any fires or fuel leaks and the car will be disqualified.
  13. If a car rolls over on its side or is on top of another car, the heat will be stopped.  If the car cannot drive off under its own power, both cars will be flagged out.
  14. Top three (3) cars in the main event will be re-inspected.  If a car is found to be built illegally, all prize money will be forfeited.
  15. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED BEFORE OR DURING THE DRBY IN THE PIT AREA.  ANY DRIVER WHO HAS CONSUMED OR IS CONSUMING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BEFORE OR DURING THE DERBY TIME WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITH NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE OR PIT PASS.
  16. Entry fee is $50.00 per car.  (Includes driver and one pit crew member.)
  17. Additional pit passes are $15.00 ea.
  18. A $250.00 protest fee is required for all protests.
  19. Check-in is from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM; no late check-ins will be admitted.
  20. No Calcutta.
  21. Derby starts at 5:30 PM Mountian Daylight Time.

NOTE:  We have combined the old Chain class of cars into this class.  There will be only one full size car class this year.  There will be NO paddle tires or studded tires allowed on full size cars on the drive tires of the car.
